With just one win in 11 games, Manchester City travelled to Villa Park in the midst of their worst crisis since the days of Stuart Pearce.

It took just 15 seconds for Villa to have their first chance but Jhon Duran snatched at an effort from the edge of the area when he really should have done better.

City persisted with their high line and were made to pay on 17 minutes as Youri Tielemans played a stunning ball through to Morgan Rogers, who squared to Duran for the striker to finish.

Grealish was back in the XI and was enjoying a lot of the ball down the left-hand side, but the England international was struggling to get the better of Matty Cash in their one-on-one battle.

Sunday sees five more games with the headline attraction coming from north London as Tottenham host Liverpool.
