1 dead after argument leads to shooting in Tyler
TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – Police were called to a shooting at a business on Loop 323 in Tyler on Friday, where they found one person in critical condition.
Officers responded to the 3800 block of SSW Loop 323 at about 12:15 p.m. after a shooting was reported, according to Tyler Police PIO Andy Erbaugh.
The incident happened at a business after an argument between several people, Erbaugh said. One man was shot, and Tyler Police Sergeant Robert Main said he was in critical condition. Police said the incident may have begun in the business but mainly took place outdoors.
The person shot and injured in this incident has died according to a family member at the scene.
Main said this was an isolated incident that took place after an argument escalated, not a random shooting. He said they have persons of interest in this case and are following up on arrests.
