1 injured after car crashes into business in East Moline

EAST MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) – One person is injured after their car crashed into a business in East Moline early Sunday morning, East Moline police said.

Just after midnight, police say they attempted a traffic stop in the 2800 block of 7 1/2 Street on a car that was driving recklessly. The car drove away, and the police did not initiate a chase.

Later on, police arrived at a crash at 1701 17th Ave to find the same car had crashed into a business.

The driver of the vehicle, a juvenile, was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries and was charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding and other traffic citations, according to police.
