10 injured after Lego display falls on them at Mass. entertainment center
Eight people were taken to the hospital after a Lego display came tumbling down on to them at a Peabody entertainment center, fire officials said.
The incident happened just before noon at In the Game on Lowell Street in Peabody, said Deputy Fire Chief Dan Dean. The plastic Lego display was “on top of a mezzanine that got pulled down,” he said.
The display was pulled down by balloons attached to it, Peabody Police wrote in a Facebook post.
Three adults and five children were hurt, Dean said. Their injuries did not appear to be serious. Two more people declined medical treatment, according to police.
“That place is always packed on the weekends,” Dean said of In the Game, which describes itself as a “family fun center” with laser tag and an arcade.
