100-year-old Bryan business celebrates National Burger Month

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Margie’s Bar & Grill is encouraging the community to try one of its burgers that helped keep them in business for a century.

The downtown Bryan business opened its doors in 1924 with one grill and a few items to order from the menu.

Margie’s employee Justin Wager says more options have been added over the last hundred years but the restaurant still has an old-school charm customers can appreciate.

“It’s old school dive bar feels, hometown feels and just lots of love in here. It’s a great place to relax, and enjoy a great atmosphere,” said Wager.

Margie’s Bar and Grill says they are planning on collaborating with Destination Bryan to celebrate 100 years in the city.
