13 Companies Hiring Fully Remote Jobs In 2024

As we approach the close of 2024, more than half of workers are already eyeing new opportunities and looking for jobs for the new year, a fresh Resume Templates survey of 1,258 professionals reveals.

Perhaps most shockingly, one in three workers say they will quit their current jobs, even if they don’t have any job offers lined up, signaling workers’ frustration with their current jobs, employers, and work environment. Of course, this has been fueled by the issue of remote jobs, which has become a heated debate between employers and employees.

Several factors contribute heavily to their decision to leave their current roles. Low pay, the feeling of being undervalued in their roles, lack of work-life balance flexibility (which, of course, includes remote work and being paid for results rather than by the hours worked) leading to burnout, limited growth opportunities, and poor management, accounted for their top priorities that influenced their decision to hand in their notices sooner or later.

One in five survey respondents’ decision to look for another job was mainly motivated by their desire for remote work and their dislike of their current organization’s RTO (return-to-office) policy.

Although there are concerns that AI (artificial intelligence) and the election results will negatively impact new job prospects, approximately 80% of those on the hunt for a new role say that they are strongly positive and confident that they will land their dream job.

  2. Capital One—At the time of writing, this company has more than 70 fully remote jobs across its various departments (see Capital One’s careers page). The work-from-home roles listed include those in software engineering, product and technical program management, business manager, and, intriguingly, even an AI-focused role—senior director of AI engineering and remote machine learning (ML) engineering vacancies. Another observation that might be helpful for you to know (depending on your current work authorization status within the United States) is that according to their careers page, not only are they a remote-friendly employer, but Capital One is also open to sponsoring job candidates for employment authorization.
  3. Athyna is a fresh start-up focused on enabling employers to hire global, world-class talent. True to its global focus, the company is fully remote, with a remote-first policy and a team that operates across five continents. 4. Airbnb—true to the nature of the company, which promotes the concept of being able to travel around the globe freely and is the driving force behind many employees and freelance professionals who work as digital nomads, nearly 90% of its open roles are fully remote jobs. Even better, they are classified as live-and-work-from-anywhere, so you have greater flexibility for your career and plenty of options (currently 168 fully remote jobs) to choose from.
