17-year-old dead in Macon after Planet Fitness parking lot fight

MACON, Ga. (WGXA) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a death on Tom Hill Sr. Blvd that occurred just before 2:00 a.m.

Deputies responded to a report of a large fight in the lower parking lot of Planet Fitness, located in the 100 block of Tom Hill Sr. Blvd.

While driving to the scene, they were advised that an individual had been shot at the location.

When Deputies arrived, they found 17-year-old Sha’quvas Dean who was suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot.

After being transported to the hospital by ambulance, Dean was pronounced dead by Coroner Ronnie Miley.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are still looking into the incident to determine what led up to the shooting.
