This is in the face of RTO mandates by big tech and other well-known employers, demonstrating that remote work is not leaving us anytime soon.

How To Find Remote Jobs In 2024

Here are a couple of ways you can use the list above to find a high-paying remote job that pays $100,000 or more:

  1. Draw up a list of your top 10 ideal employers within your specific industry (if your industry is listed above preferably). Include one or more of the companies listed in this article.
  2. Next, head to their careers website directly, as well as their careers page on LinkedIn. In your remote job search strategy, you will want to do a combination of applying via the company’s website (using the relevant work location filters) as well as applying via LinkedIn (however do not duplicate applications as this will only slow the process down). When you apply via LinkedIn, a couple of tactics that work effectively to bring you to the attention of the employer are to follow their company page (might seem like a no-brainer, right?), and to mark their job as a top choice job—a new feature that is being rolled out across LinkedIn Premium members.
  3. Most importantly, connect with LinkedIn members who already work at the organization. Many of the employers listed above are global or are very large in that they have thousands of employees, therefore you need to be strategic about who from the organization you decide to network with, otherwise your efforts will be as ineffective as throwing a needle in the dark and expecting a bullseye. Locate employees who work as closely within your ideal team or department as possible, and seek out the decision-makers, since they will either be the hiring manager or have a strong say in the recruitment process.

Overall, remember to research the trending industries for remote work opportunities (pivoting careers if necessary), target your job search to apply for roles at the above-mentioned employers, and actively use networking and LinkedIn tactics as part of the process. After all, when the job market competition is fierce, it’s not what you know that matters, it’s who you know.
