1920s Fashion Fits Lily-Rose Depp Like a Glove
Lily-Rose Depp is dressing the part of a supportive partner. Last night, the actor pulled out all the stops for her girlfriend 070 Shake’s “A Night at the Ballet” listening party at Los Angeles’s El Rey Theatre. The rapper shared a sneak peak of her latest album, Petrichor—which is due out next week—with friends and fans, where she asked all attendees to dress to the nines.
Depp was more than happy to oblige Shake’s formalwear request, leaning into a flapperesque look for the show. She wore a sheer off-white mid-length dress complete with a black trim, a faint black floral pattern, and scattered with white sequins. The dress featured 1920s fashion hallmarks like a drop waist, but was a modern take on the Roaring Twenties thanks to its plunging V-neck and open back.
The actor kept warm in a black coat with wide lapels, which matched her teetering Christian Louboutin peep-toe stilettos and small black evening bag with a rhinestone-encrusted clasp. Depp upped the glamour with a pair of ivory silk gloves, which she used to clutch a skinny cigarette. (Very 1920s, indeed.)
Not only was she dressed as a proud girlfriend, she coordinated perfectly with Shake, who opted for a three-piece pinstriped suit for the occasion. Together, the pair are more than ready for a night at the ballet—be it in the 1920s or the 2020s.
