Investigators from the Arkansas Attorney General’s office and Bradley County law enforcement officers arrested five people connected to illegal gambling at two locations in and near Warren, a news release from the attorney general’s office states.
Authorities determined gambling was taking place at Que Lindo Michoacan in Warren and at Spanky’s in Bradley County, the release states, leading to the arrest of Pablo Ceja, 32, of Warren at Que Lindo Michoacan and Kaysie Miskell, 44, of Pine Bluff, Sandra Huntley, 41, of Kingsland, Shony Penister, 36, of Warren and Keithron Gibbs, 39, of Warren at Spanky’s.
During the arrests, authorities seized $15,000 and confiscated five electronic gambling machines from Que Lindo Michoacan, which is a grocery store, and seized $24,150 and confiscated 41 electronic gambling machines from Spanky’s, a club.
Officials from the Warren Police Department and the Bradley County sheriff’s office invited investigators from Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin’s Special Investigation team, the release states.
“I have long said that my office serves as a resource for law enforcement agencies across Arkansas, so I am proud to see my Special Investigations team help shut down these operations and bring these criminals to justice,” Griffin stated in the release.
Ceja, Miskell, Huntley and Penister all face a felony count of keeping a gambling house, and Ceja faces an additional misdemeanor count of keeping a prohibited gaming device, the release states. Gibbs faces an unclassified violation related to keeping a gaming device for betting.
