LEXINGTON — Dawson County’s 4-H sewers displayed meticulously sewn garments at the 2024 Fashion Show on Tuesday, July 9.
The public fashion show was held Wednesday, July 10, at 7:30 p.m. at the Lexington Middle School Auditorium. These hardworking 4-H’ers have developed a skill which will be useful to them for the rest of their lives.
The theme for the show was “Lights, Camera, Fashion.”
The narrators for this event were Greta Rickertsen of Lexington, Lorelai Rickertsen of Lexington and Sydni Ringenberg of Lexington.
The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the Dawson County delegates to the State Fair Fashion Show. Andrea Nisley, UNL Extension Educator, announced the following trophy winners and State Fair delegates.
Trophy winners and delegates were Joslynn Lans, Lexington; Bristol McConville, Lexington; Millie Pepplitsch, Lexington; Mollie Spradlin, Cozad; Maya Soria, Kearney; Greta Rickertsen and Sydni Ringenberg.

Alternates and medal winners were Wesley Thompson, Lexington, first alternate and Elena McFarland, Lexington, second alternate.
Also announced were the delegates to the State Fair in the Shopping in Style Fashion Show.
The trophy winners and delegates were Melissa Montano of Kearney, Mollie Spradlin of Cozad and Wesley Thompson of Lexington.
The first alternate was Kamrynn Rhoades of Cozad and second alternate was Maya Soria of Kearney.
Judges for the Fashion Show and Clothing Construction were Marilyn Martin, Sandy Stockall, Elaine Redfern, Charmayne Popp, and Jeannie Stade.
Carol Keiser of Gothenburg and Sharon Pearson of Brady were superintendent and assistant superintendent of clothing.
Helpers for the day were Lorna Duryea of Lexington, Amy Pepplitsch of Lexington, Stephanie Ringenberg of Lexington, Tina Thompson of Lexington, and Karon Spradlin of Cozad. Barb Batie of Lexington served as photographer at the Clothing Contest.
