2024 MTV Video Music Awards Red-Carpet Fashion: Photos of the Best Looks

The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards are going down Wednesday night (Sept. 11), and stars are already flooding the red carpet — which is actually a jet-black carpet this year.

The action is happening outside New York’s UBS Arena, with LISA of Blackpink leading the way in a hooded and gloved floor-length off-white look. Karol G, meanwhile, looks like the fire emoji come to life in her yellow gown that has flames rising up the bodice into a collared white neckline. Lenny Kravitz showed off his world-famous abs in a matching leather jacket and pants paired with a tie worn over his bare chest.

All three of those musicians — LISA, Karol and Kravitz — are performing on Wednesday night, as are Chappell Roan, Camila Cabello, Eminem, GloRilla, Halsey, Sabrina Carpenter, Shawn Mendes and more. Megan Thee Stallion is set to host for the very first time, as well as perform, while Katy Perry will receive the Video Vanguard Award and perform a career-spanning medley of hits.

Heading into Wednesday’s show, Taylor Swift leads the nominations with 12 nods, followed by her “Fortnight” collaborator Post Malone with 11. Eminem is next up with eight, while Ariana Grande, Megan Thee Stallion, Sabrina Carpenter and SZA have seven each and Benson Boone, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, GloRilla, LISA, Olivia Rodrigo and Teddy Swims have four apiece.
