2024 NFL Team Previews: Betting, Picks, Props, and More

AFC Outlook

Heading into the 2024 NFL Season, there are tons of storylines to pay attention to. The Kansas City Chiefs Dynasty seems unstoppable at the moment, but can Travis Kelce continue to fend off father time? Patrick Mahomes has an improved receiving corps for the 2024 season and that might just be enough for the Cheifs to go back-to-back with their dominant defense.

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills continue to be also-rans in the AFC, but will the departure of Stefon Diggs and a group of young weapons on offense be enough to deliver Bills Mafia to the promised land? In a stacked AFC, that is certainly going to be a tall task. Trevor Lawrence and the Jags are on the prowl to prove they belong. And, of course, the AFC North remains a bloodbath. The Ravens, Steelers, Browns, and Bengals all have a chance to make a deep playoff run this season.

There are also some storylines to watch at the bottom of the conference as well. The New England Patriots are entering a new day with Drake Maye and Jerrod Mayo, but can they rise to the occasion? Just how good can Anthony Richardson and the Indianapolis Colts be this season? Coming off of an injury-shortened year, expectations are high in Indy. We hope that Richardson lives up to the hype, but it will be an uphill battle.

How bad will the Miami Dolphins look for the Tua deal? Very bad.

NFC Outlook

On the other side of the league, the National Football Conference lacks top-end talent. Some might argue that Philly and San Francisco are worthy rivals to the Chiefs and Bills, but both of those teams have struggled when facing the AFC’s best. Currently, the AFC rules the NFL.

Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles are looking to bounce back from a sub-par finish to the 2023 season. With some reinforcements in-bound, they have to blunt the loss of Jason Kelce on the offensive line. Kelce has been a fixture of the Philadelphia line for years, and losing him will be a big hole to fill. With Saquan Barkley now in the mix, Philly might be able to make life easier for Hurts.

San Francisco is out to prove that Brock Purdy was not a fluke. However, with a receiver room that is in turmoil with Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel wanting out of San Fran, Kyle Shannahan will have his work cut out for him. With a slew of returning defensive starters, the 49ers can still be a force in a weak conference.
