2024 Steelers holiday shopping guide
Holiday shopping can be difficult for the Pittsburgh Steelers fan in your life, especially one who probably gets black-and-gold-themed gifts all year round. We’ve put together a shopping guide of new items that were released in the last few months to give you some ideas for Christmas and beyond.
Toys and Figures
Mean Joe Greene Funko Pop!
The latest member of the black and gold to get the Funko treatment is the original icon, defensive tackle, and hall-of-fame member Joe Greene. He’s the 11th Pittsburgh Steelers player to get a figure. Funko also released a new version of Terry Bradshaw earlier this Spring.
Mean Joe Greene Dubblz bobblehead
This is maybe the most surreal collectible on the internet. It’s a Joe Greene bobblehead holding a tinier version of himself. Foco sells at least 20 different figures in this style. Past statues include Troy Polamalu, Roberto Clemente, and Sydney Crosby. Unfortunately, as of this writing, they’re sold out, so happy hunting on eBay.
Books
Legendary by Dick LeBeau
The Hall of Fame cornerback and beloved former Steelers defense coordinator writes about the dominant 2007-2008 team, providing a deep dive on each game from that season. LeBeau gave us a book preview earlier this year when he said he could have covered Antonio Brown and Randy Moss as a player.
The Pittsburgh Steelers: An Illustrated Timeline by Jim Wexell
This is Wexell’s sixth book on the Steelers but his first coffee table book. Through photos from those eras, he tells the complete history of the team from before its founding in 1933 to today.
Behind the Yoi by Dan Joseph with Elizabeth Cope
The newest biography on legendary Steelers broadcaster Myron Cope goes even deeper than Cope’s memoir. Cope’s daughter opened up her late father’s archives of documents and recordings. Joseph gave us a preview earlier this year when he revealed the secret to Cope’s relationship with the notoriously private Chuck Noll.
The Players’ Coach: from Bradshaw to Manning, Brady and Beyond by Tom Moore
Tom Moore was the Steelers’ receivers coach from 1977 to 1982. After that, he served as offensive coordinator for seven more years. He joined the team as it was evolving from a defensive juggernaut to an offensive powerhouse. Moore’s book only devotes a few chapters to his time in Pittsburgh but gives unique insights into Noll, Terry Bradshaw, Lynn Swann, and others.
Christmas Keepsakes
Minkah Fitzpatrick “Legends” Hallmark Keepsake ornament
Fitzpatrick is the 16th member of the Steelers to get an official Hallmark Keepsake ornament. Last year featured Najee Harris, and 2022 gave us T.J. Watt. For prior ornaments, check out our entire checklist.
George Pickens “Catch of the Year” ornament
Pickens announced his NFL arrival in Week 3 of his rookie year with an amazing one-handed catch against the Cleveland Browns. ManorPrintX.com has immortalized the moment with its own custom Christmas tree ornament.
