With the seasons changing, 229 Gifts on the Square held another Fashion for a Cause, its seasonal fashion show fundraiser. A crowd of 100 guests attended the event, raising $5,000 for the event’s beneficiary, Beacon on Boulevard. The models for the evening showed off a variety of fall outfits, ranging from casual, cocktail chic, denim, and evening wear.
“We are so grateful!” said Renee Fisher. “We couldn’t do this without the support of our community, our models and the team that makes it all possible.”
For those who were unable to attend the show but would still like to donate, donations can be made at 229’s store.
“Each season our attendance grows and so do the donations,” Fisher continued. “It’s rewarding to see people enjoying a night of fun, fashion, and fellowship while giving back.”
Fisher also thanked those in the community who helped put the event on, which included: Reese & Missy Rollins; Southwest Georgia Oil; Panache Tents from Port St. Joe; Cindy Henry Catering; Bainbridge Pharmacy, Edward Reynolds; Bob Henderson; McKenzie Conder; and the Beacon on Boulevard board (Missy Rollins, Emily Griffin, Mary Lynn White, Stacy Warren, Sarah Brown, Renee Fisher).
She also thanked the evening’s models, who were: Lacey Sheppard; Linda Barineau; Geeja Mims; Misti Kelly; LaShawn Close; Ivanna Tabb; Alice Malone; Jenny Paugh; Angelica Gray; Sarah Brown; Perra Harrell; and Nicole Dempsey.
