2nd annual Hanfu fashion show kicks off at Lan Su Chinese Garden
PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – The Lan Su Chinese Garden kicked off “Dress Han: Nights of Hanfu Fashion” Friday night with fashion and music.
Along the bridges and walkways of the Lan Su Chinese Garden, a fashion show took place. For the second year in a row, the garden welcomed Chinese and Chinese American designers to show off their work while guests enjoyed a sunset show.
The show featured both traditional Chinese attire, Hanfu, and contemporary innovative fashion inspired by Hanfu.
“The thing I’m most excited about is an opportunity to bring old and new together in a fun, creative, innovative way,” Executive Director Elizabeth Nye said. “Tonight we will see the entire garden used as a runway.”
The runway’s music was played by Taiwanese American folk musician and America’s Got Talent Season 19 contestant, Nini.
The show will take place again on Saturday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and tickets are available for purchase here.
