The crash occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. in the 3100 block of University Drive.

Investigators said the driver of the car told them a tool became lodged under the brake pedal, preventing the vehicle from stopping.

The vehicle jumped a curb, became airborne, and crashed into the Pure Life Renal of Miramar at 3180 S. University Dr., according to authorities.

Authorities said Miramar Fire Rescue transported the three adult occupants to Memorial Regional Hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries.

A Local 10 News crew at the scene saw the business’s front glass window shattered, with a red “unsafe building” sign posted on one of the glass panels that was not damaged in the crash.

No other details about the crash were immediately released.
