3M Open Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Plays – July 28th, 2024

One more round of golf from TPC Twin Cities. We saw a ton of variance on the leaderboard as Mr. Vegas posted a beautiful round of 63 to take the 54-hole lead into Sunday. As we saw in round three, the scores are extremely volatile around TPC Twin Cities. Here are my 3M Open Underdog plays!

3M Open Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Plays – July 28th, 2024

Sam Burns Lower Than 68.5 Strokes

Burns has been back-and-forth in his effort to get his first win of 2024. He started the 3M Open with a round of 70. In round two, he went low with a solid 65 and posted a 69 in round three. When we take a deeper look at his stat line, we see that he is gaining strokes in every category.

That is extremely impressive no matter the event and shows the class of player that Burns is. Look for the cream to rise to the top come Sunday and Sam to post a low round. He is a great addition to your Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Slip.

Emiliano Grillo higher than 4.5 Birdies

Grillo is a golfer who always plays well around TPC Twin Cities. Through three rounds, he sits in a tie for 23rd as he is yet to really get anything going. I expect him to post a low number to keep that excellent course history afloat.

Looking at his stat line, Grillo is doing everything well but the iron play. Knowing his game, that is due to change. It is rare we get Grillo in great putting form so we need to hop on him. The iron play will regress back to the average, and he will make a ton of birdies on Sunday.
