5 Hair Trends We Love From Paris Fashion Week

Paris Fashion Week is in full swing. And the City of Light is not disappointing. Shows this year kicked off on September 23 and ended on October 1. Beyond the stunning pieces from the Spring/Summer collections we’ve been seeing (Saint Laurent, Courreges, and Schiaparelli are some of my early faves!), the hairstyles – both on and off the runway, have been equally as fun to witness.

Because even though fashion week is about well… fashion, the shows also have a history of influencing our current and upcoming beauty choices. Remember the small crystals on the outer edges of the eye from Thom Browne’s AW24 runway? Or Pat McGrath’s porcelain doll look for Maison Margiela? Of course, you do.

Pixie Cuts

If you were looking for a sign to go short, look no further. Pixie cuts are everywhere, from runway models to show attendees. A styled pixie, whether it’s slicked down or cut with fringe bangs, is incredibly chic.

Cornrows

Black celebs like Willow Smith and Amanda Stenberg, influencers, and runway models were spotted sporting cornrows and braids – both of which are perfect protective styles, as we gear up for the cooler winter months.

Loose, Shaggy Curls

This season, loose shaggy curls are in. The 70s-esque style uses face-framing layers to give shape and create volume. This versatile style works well on any hair length and is perfect for those looking to embrace their natural texture.

Slicked-Back Bun

The classic style that’s been dominating runways, red carpets, and our feeds, proved its not going anywhere, any time soon. Slicked-back buns and ponytails were especially popular amongst celebrities this season.
