7-year-old Cumberland girl becomes CEO of “Unicorn World” for a day

CUMBERLAND (WGME) – A young girl’s failed business plan turned into a magical opportunity where she became the CEO of Unicorn World.

7-year-old Catherine Higgins of Cumberland submitted a business plan to the Maine ventures start-up competition for a business by the same name.

Her submission did not make it to the finals, after learning there was already a Unicorn World.

An interactive and themed traveling event that is currently in Atlanta, Georgia.

When the owners of Unicorn World found out about her love for the magical beast, they flew her down to Atlanta to be CEO for the day.

Catherine says there are so many reasons she loves unicorns.

“The unicorn’s magic is they can create rainbows. They can do all kinds of colorful stuff, like rainbows, all sorts of colorful things. They can control the water, they can run really fast, they can cook really well. They’re good at solving mysteries.”

The closes Unicorn World will be to us this year will actually be in June when they come to Hartford, Connecticut.
