8-Year-Old Girl Drove Herself to Ohio Target For a Shopping Spree

This story is one that a lot of us can relate to. Ladies, is there anything better than driving yourself to Target to get a Starbucks treat before shopping around? Sometimes when I have extra money to piddle with, I like to wander around the aisles and see what speaks to me.

When I heard about this little gal from Ohio, my first thought was “She is only 8 years old and has it all figured out.” When you need a pick-me-up, just head to the nearest Target. No matter what obstacle stands in your way. Even if you have to steal your mama’s Nissan Rogue at 7 AM all by yourself.

After noticing she was gone along with the vehicle, the girl’s family members reported her missing to the authorities. Then someone called in after spotting a child driving the SUV alone. The footage from the dashcam shows her swerving all over the road. Her journey was about 25 minutes long. Luckily it was early enough in the morning there weren’t many other cars out. You can watch the video below.

The Bedford police department made this hysterical post about the incident:

Some of the comments are pretty great.

“I think I want to donate to this gal’s college fund. She’s going places. I get it’s dangerous, but this gal has boss material.”

“I’m not gonna lie, I’m pretty impressed. There’s some adults that can’t manage that drive on their own, let alone only hitting a mailbox.”

“Jesus for sure had the wheel!!”

Now, I know this is a situation where her parents probably were torn between being relieved she was OK and wanting to “tan her hide” as my grandparents used to say. Some news sources are reporting she had $400 cash on her which she used for her shopping spree. YIKES!

I can picture her now just sitting and sipping her Frappucino without a care in the world. Mission accomplished. Have your kiddos ever done anything wild like this?
