9 Best-Dressed Women Over 50 at the 2025 Golden Globes

The Babygirl actress and nominee sparkled in a one-shouldered silver Balenciaga backless gown, accessorized with a vintage watch and earrings. Kidman reminisced to Variety about her first Golden Globe nomination for Billy Bathgate, a whopping 33 years ago. “I could not believe all the stars that were there,” she said. “I felt like … I am this girl from Australia — what am I doing here? I felt like a fish out of water, honestly!”

The Diplomat actress and nominee looked chic in a deep blue, backless Christian Siriano gown. “Let’s go Janney!!! So chic…Love you,” the designer wrote on Instagram. In a 2022 interview, the star told AARP that she can’t ever see herself retiring. “I love so much what I do and I love the community, the immediate family you have with all these people that you’re working with on movies. I hate when they end and I leave people. And it’s been my life,” she said.

Sustainable fashion was the name of the game for the Disclaimer star and nominee. The actress hit the red carpet in a glam gold custom Louis Vuitton gown with a cape-style bodice bedazzled with metallic details on the shoulders and column skirt — the same stunner she wore to the Cannes Film Festival in May 2024.

Yeoh looked Wicked good in a sleeveless black Balenciaga gown with a dramatic train and high ruffled collar. The actress, who told AARP as a non-singer she was wary to sign on to the Broadway adaptation, credits co-star Cynthia Erivo for encouraging her to belt it out in the musical. “She gave me the confidence,” she told Variety. “She held my hand and looked into my eyes.”

The Last Showgirl star and nominee went for an understated, elegant look in a black Oscar de la Renta gown with a ruched bodice. She completed the ensemble with opera gloves and lab-grown diamonds from Pandora. Anderson, who is famously eschewing makeup for a more natural look says it makes her get-ready process super quick. “I’m on my own,” she told Variety. “No stylist, no glam team — just me.”
