EMILY PRESCOTT: Don’t tell the eco-warriors! Sienna Miller loves fast fashion

While most celebrities flaunt their green credentials these days, Sienna Miller is happily bucking the trend.

The 42-year-old actress has just declared her love for fast fashion, despite it being a bete noire when it comes to sustainability.

‘I wear a lot of high street, because I’m fickle and really impatient,’ the mother of two told Grazia magazine.

‘I get bored with things quickly and you can find amazing things. I have an 11-year-old so I am always in Urban Outfitters these days…’

Given that turning over outfits so quickly is so bad for the planet, Miller, who has a new fashion line with M&S, would be advised to steer clear of Colin Firth‘s eco-warrior ex wife Livia, who has called for a crusade against disposable fashion.

Writing in Vogue Arabia she said she hoped a charismatic rebel such as Katniss Everdeen, the fictional heroine of The Hunger Games, might emerge to ‘reignite the revolution’.

But in the meantime she suggested that ‘blocking celebrities on social media for not speaking out on social issues’ might get the ball rolling.

As a model who’s graced the pages of Tatler and walked the catwalk for Dolce & Gabbana, you would have thought Lady Violet Manners had the perfect sense of style.

But last week she turned to her younger sister Lady Alice, left, for tips. Alice, 29, had teamed up with Samantha Cameron to host styling sessions for Cefinn, the fashion brand set up by the Foreign Secretary’s wife, with big sis Violet one of her clients.

‘Alice thank you for styling (telling me) what’s best,’ said Violet, 30, on Instagram as she gushed over the £260 denim maxi dress her sibling had picked out for her.

And even though the sisters are the daughters of the wealthy Duke and Duchess of Rutland – owners of magnificent Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire – Cefinn generously didn’t charge for the outfit.

William and Harry might want to take advice from Julia Samuel on how to air their grievances.

Julia, right, a close friend of their late mother Diana, has written a newsletter titled How To Fight Productively and there’s some advice that could be applied to the warring siblings.

‘Conflict is an inevitable part of a relationship. While it can be uncomfortable, even painful… it’s about addressing issues constructively rather than destructively.

‘Words can leave lasting scars. Avoid insults and sarcasm.’

Mary McCartney is the latest celebrity to step into the wellness industry. I can reveal that the photographer has registered a lifestyle brand called ‘Can We Have a Moment’ that will be ready to sell clothes and cosmetics.

Mary, 54, left, one of Paul McCartney and his late wife Linda’s four children, is seemingly following a path made popular by Gwyneth Paltrow and her woo-woo Goop brand.

This would be in keeping with Mary’s beliefs as she recently admitted: ‘Hugging trees has become a pastime.’

Sadiq Khan has some very posh tastes. A list of gifts received by the Mayor of London revealed he was recently sent a £260 hamper – filled to the brim with biscuits, chocolates and preserves – from upmarket department store Fortnum & Mason to mark the festival of Eid.

There are strict rules about the Mayor accepting gifts, with City Hall declaring acceptance should be ‘infrequent’, but the paperwork insists it would been ‘impolite to decline’ the gesture. That or Sadiq was too taken with the goodies inside!

Singer Paloma Faith says she feared her second baby, conceived via IVF, wasn’t actually hers. ‘My hair colour is dark, and my (ex) partner is Algerian [with dark hair].

‘So this baby was blonde and it was freaking me out,’ said Paloma, 42. She even phoned the clinic to check.

‘I really love her, so I’m keeping her,’ she concludes. Phew!

Revealed in April that Princess Beatrice was forging a career as a public speaker when she hosted a panel discussion at Spotify and now her sister is on a similar path.

On Friday, Princess Eugenie hosted an ‘in conversation’ event for Hauser & Wirth, the art gallery where she has worked since 2015, in which she spoke to Jake Grewal about his ‘artistic practice, recent projects, and studio processes’.

Jake’s paintings are rather abstract and often feature nude figures based on himself.
