Producing Partners Monty Hobbs & Valerie Smaldone Launch Just Do GOOD Entertainment

Producing partners Monty Hobbs and Valerie Smaldone have launched Just Do GOOD Entertainment, a company with a mission is to create content that not only entertains but inspires and enacts change by doing good.

Previously, Hobbs & Smaldone worked together with producer Matthieu Chazareix to create the series Divine Renovation, hosted by Erik Estrada, that’s available on UpTV, Tubi, and Amazon. Divine Renovation’s season 2 titled Destination: New England will premiere June 20 at the Warner Theater in Torrington, CT. It’s set to bow Sept. 19.

Just Do GOOD Entertainment is producing a children’s book titled Officer Erik and The Very Special Dad,  featuring a father with multiple sclerosis who has an indomitable spirit of gratitude and a desire to help others. A portion of the proceeds from the book, which will be available this holiday season, will benefit MS charities.

“While shooting The Thursday Night Club, a movie about doing good for others, we realized that we needed to produce a reality series that actually does help individuals in need,”  Hobbs said.

“We are focused on the simple concept that, despite the chaotic world we live in, people still really do care, and we wanted to show that is the case,” added Smaldone.

While they continue to plan for new seasons of Divine Renovation at various locations around the country, Hobbs and Smaldone are in the process of cooking up a new series, with food as the main event. There are also plans to hold the Just Do GOOD Awards in 2025 to recognize individuals who have made a difference in this world.

“We truly believe that small fixes can make big miracles,” Smaldone said. Hobbs added that sometimes “making small adjustments for individuals who need the help, can make a world of difference.”
