Detroit High School Sports Awards: See each of the 40 winners

More than 300 student-athletes were recognized Tuesday night at the 2024 Detroit High School Sports Awards, presented by Detroit Area Honda Dealers. The show was produced in partnership with the U.S. Army and was held at The Fillmore in downtown Detroit.

The Detroit High School Sports Awards are one of 20 regional shows held across the United States. It’s a nine-month student-athlete recognition program that recognizes athletes, coaches and teams from the Detroit Metro area and surrounding counties.

Along with the awards given, athletes, parents, and coaches got to hear from Detroit Lions’ wide receiver, and former Michigan and Cass Tech standout, Donovan Peoples-Jones. He talked about his time growing up and playing football in Michigan, his future with the Lions, and gave sound advice for the student-athletes in attendance.

The show recognized winners in 30 individual sports played in the fall, winter and spring sports seasons as well as handed out 10 Premier Awards.
