‘Peanuts’ onstage
The University of Central Arkansas Summer Theatre, the new professional theater at UCA, stages its inaugural production, “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” (music, lyrics and book by Clark Gesner, based on Charles M. Schulz’s comic strip Peanuts, with additional dialogue by Michael Mayer and additional music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa), 7:30 p.m. Friday and June 28, 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and June 29 and 2 p.m. Sunday and June 30 in the James M. Organ concert
Celina Kobetitsch, associate director of music at Little Rock’s Trinity Cathedral, will give an organ concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 228 Spring St., Hot Springs, marking the 40th anniversary of the church’s Nichols & Simpson organ. Her program will include the Fantasia and fugue in g minor, BWV 542, by Johann Sebastian Bach; the Sonata No. 4 by Felix Mendelssohn and original transcriptions of Mendelssohn’s “Songs Without Words”; an original chorale prelude on “Herz und Herz vereint zusammen”; the Prelude in a minor, BuxWV 158, by Dietrich Buxtehude; “Tu es Petra” by Henri Mulet; and Variations on “Veni creator” by Maurice Durufle. Admission is free.

The Arkansas League of Artists’ 2024 Members Show opens with a 5-8 p.m. Argenta Art District Third Friday Art Walk reception at the Argenta Library, 420 Main St., North Little Rock. Alumna’s ceramics
An exhibition of ceramics by University of Arkansas at Little Rock alumna Ginny Sims is on display through July 14 in the Ann Maners and Alex Pappas Gallery in the university’s Windgate Center of Art and Design, 2801 S. University Ave., Little Rock. The center will host a reception, 5-7 p.m. June 27. Sims, a Little Rock native, now resides in Minneapolis. Her functional ceramics and ceramic sculptures “are whimsical and visually informed by 18th-century ceramic surface designs and motifs,” according to a news release. Pulaski Tech season
A famous scientist with magic powers brings a friendly dinosaur to life in “Dino-Light,” 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18, kicking off the University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College’s CHARTS Live 2024-25 season at the Center for Humanities and Arts on the college’s main campus, 3000 W. Scenic Drive, North Little Rock. The glow-in-the-dark adventure features a blend of puppetry, technology and dance. Tickets are $15 and $25.
