MOVIES IN THE PARK WITH THIRD FRIDAY NIGHT OF ENTERTAINMENT

Movies in the Park has its third evening of entertainment Friday night at the Nichols Band Shell in Roseburg’s Stewart Park.
A city release said the series is cosponsored by Roseburg Parks and Recreation and Rogue Credit Union.
Each week, pre-movie entertainment begins at 7:30 p.m. That’s followed by the evening’s movie which is shown starting at dusk. Friday staff from the Douglas Forest Protective Association will have a presentation which includes Smokey Bear, a fire truck and more. The movie will be Elemental, which was released in 2023.
Vendors will have snacks for sale, including popcorn, drinks, cotton candy and more. Face-painting is available. Attendees can also bring their own food and beverages.
Tobacco use is not allowed in the city’s parks and the alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are not allowed at the event.
Movies in the Park concludes next week on June 28th with the movie Wonka proceeded by a presentation by the Umpqua Actors Community Theatre as they preview the upcoming summer musical, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”
