Celebrity fitness coach reveals Ali Fazal’s fitness routine for Mirzapur 3
Mirzapur 3 is all set to premiere in the first week of July! Once again we will witness the brutal and nerve-wracking war for the Mirzapur throne where “trust is a luxury that no one can afford”.
The makers of the film released the film’s trailer on Friday, giving cinephiles a glimpse into the third season which is drenched in blood, fuelled by vengeance, and brimming with a power struggle in a lawless land. As we wait for the answer to the biggest question – Who will rule over Mirzapur? – let’s explore how Ali Fazal prepped for the role of Guddu Pandit.
Speaking exclusively to WION, celebrity fitness coach Rohit Nair revealed that Fazal wanted to go leaner for season 3. He said, “So for Mirzapur 3, we wanted a different kind of an approach and look, which is kind of similar but different as well because he was a little bit bulkier in the second season. And in the third season, he wanted to be a little leaner but not lose the frame as well. This time, he wanted to be a little bit more fit and agile.”
The fitness coach further revealed how the actor trained to achieve the desired look for Guddu Pandit. Nair said, “So what we did was, we did a lot of animal movement, bodyweight training, a lot of combat training which involved kickboxing, jiu-jitsu as well, which helped him in doing action in Mirzapur.”

The fan-favourite crime thriller, directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Anand Iyer, stars Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Anjumm Shharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Rajesh Tailang, Sheeba Chadha, Meghna Malik and Manu Rishi Chadha. The first season of the crime drama premiered in 2018 and the second season in 2020.
