Horse Palace Swan Ranch entertainment complex holds ribbon-cutting ceremony, grand opening
CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Wyoming Horse Racing LLC’s Horse Palace Swan Ranch gaming and entertainment complex on the Colorado–Wyoming border has opened its doors. Local government officials met with WHR executives on Friday evening for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the grand opening.
“Today is a milestone moment as we open the doors for our flagship Swan Ranch property on the border of Colorado and Wyoming,” said Nick Hughes, president of Wyoming Horse Racing, in a news release. “With more than 140 new jobs and $2.6 million in annual tax revenue, this $25 million investment will be an economic driver for the region — all while providing exceptional entertainment, food and fun for racing, gaming and culinary enthusiasts.”
Years in the making, the Swan Ranch Horse Palace pays homage to its western roots and is situated conveniently along Interstate 25 at the Colorado–Wyoming border. The entertainment center, at over 30,000 square feet, features state-of-the art hospitality facilities, off-track betting, the newest games, large jackpots, a premium steakhouse restaurant and an entertainment bar overseen by celebrity chef Shawn Jackson. The property also features Dunkin’, the largest coffee and donut brand in the United States.
“We are incredibly proud of the level of design and attention to detail that has gone into this multi-year development project,” said John Sheldon, executive vice president of Wyoming Horse Racing. “With a nod toward the heritage of the west, the Swan Ranch Horse Palace was created with the guest experience in mind,” Sheldon added. “We could not have reached this point without the talent and expertise of local businesses and stakeholders. We are thrilled the day to finally open our doors is here.”
“Our partnerships in the community along with the support of Wyoming Horse Racing’s strong team are why we are here today,” said Peter Liguori, executive vice president of Wyoming Horse Racing. “Our grand opening today further strengthens Wyoming Horse Racing’s legacy and will continue to lift the horse racing industry in Wyoming and advance economic prosperity in the region.”
The new location resides on 36 acres just a few miles from the Wyoming–Colorado border at exit 4 off I-25 at 5640 High Plains Road. For more information about Wyoming Horse Racing LLC and Horse Palace, click here.
