A festival led by a Commonwealth Games gold medallist to promote sport for all ages and abilities has been organised.
Sport for Alll – which has been spearheaded by former England netball star Serena Guthrie – will take place at Grainville School in Jersey on 26 August.
The initiative aims to help get people active and doing a variety of sports, no matter what their ability is.
The event, taking place between 10:00 BST and 16:00, will be free to enter and will feature sports including netball, cricket, yoga and rugby.
Jersey native Ms Guthrie, who won gold with England at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia, said everyone should have the chance to take part in sport.
She added she believes sport can also have a positive impact on a person’s mental well-being.
“Sport for Alll is inspired by a desire to create a more inclusive and active community,” Ms Guthrie said.
“It’s about removing barriers and making sport accessible to all, regardless of age, ability, background or circumstance.”
