August woman named among ‘200 Most Influential of Georgia’s Creative Industries’ list
Augusta has plenty of creatives, but only one was featured in this month’s “Georgia Entertainment.”
The bi-annual magazine recently released its list of the “200 Most Influential of Georgia’s Creative Industries” and one of the names was Jennifer Bowen.
“I’m really thrilled to be included,” she said. “It was a bit of a surprise and a welcome honor.”
‘Police 24/7’: Augusta in half of season finale of CW’s “Police 24/7.” Here’s what we saw.
The names spotlighted were based on nominations, research from the “Georgia Entertainment” team, interviews and conversations with high-level contacts.
Bowen is vice president of destination development and community engagement for Destination Augusta. She is also the head of Film Augusta. In this function, she secured Augusta’s endorsement by the Georgia Film Office as a Camera Ready Community. She also partnered with Augusta Technical College to facilitate Georgia Film Academy’s presence in Augusta.
“My passion is Augusta,” Bowen said. “I really want to see Augusta grow, I want to see its crew grow.”
