The company has also expanded its leadership team with the hire of former Miniclip CCO Christopher Bergstresser as its chief strategy officer and ex-Lockwood Publishing chief commercial officer Oliver Kern as COO.

OV Entertainment Group said it plans to make two other strategic acquisitions this year as it aims to become a key player in the global entertainment industry.

Based in Portugal and Brazil, Kokku is a co-development studio that currently employs 170 staff. It has worked across platforms with companies including Activision, Codemasters, EA, Netflix and others.

3OGS, based in Argentina, offers engineering and programming services for companies in the games and broader entertainment sectors.

“This movement marks the inaugural step in our bold strategy to unify the entertainment industry with cutting-edge technology, triple-A talent, and cross-media expertise,” said De Freitas. “Together, we are building a cross-media company focused on strong brands, organic growth, and profitability.

“By leveraging the combined expertise of our teams, we are pushing the boundaries of the entertainment industry further than ever before. This encompasses games, films/TV, advertising, and tech and tools, all under one roof, thereby mitigating the risks associated with working in a single industry.”
