Artsy fun is back for summer in the famed eucalyptus grove of Laguna Canyon that the Sawdust Art Festival calls home.
This year 180 artists and makers will display their unique crafts, jewelry and artwork on the festival’s grounds covered in sawdust and shaded by the huge trees.

“I am honored to be among the many artists who have contributed to this multi-generational art festival, sharing our work with the community amidst this ancient eucalyptus forest,” Andrew Soliz, president of the festival’s board, said in a statement. “On behalf of the artists and entertainers who came before us, and all of us present today, I extend a hand of friendship to everyone attending.”
Beyond viewing the artist’s offerings, there will be specialty theme days throughout the summer, such as Surf Day on July 23 and 24, Country Western Day on Aug. 3, and a fashion show on Aug. 4.
There are also three stages with live music planned – more than 125 local bands will offer their tunes for the summer crowds.
Food options are abundant with the legendary Sawdust Saloon and four other outdoor dining venues open for the summer. This year marks the highly anticipated return of Chef Gonzalo Rebollar’s Taco Loco, a Pacific Coast Highway staple for 37 years before closing in 2023.
And if you’re inspired to create, there will be daily art classes, featuring tile art, watercolor, sewing, rock painting, sculpting clay critters and more.
