It’s officially firework season, and that means Colorado Springs residents will soon be looking to the sky to admire explosive displays in celebration of the 4th of July.
While fireworks are illegal to buy, possess or use within city limits, there are almost a dozen professional displays to enjoy in the area this Independence Day.
This year’s citywide fireworks celebration includes displays and events happening throughout the Pikes Peak region on July 4. The displays will happen in conjunction with a performance by the Colorado Springs Philharmonic which will be broadcast on several local radio stations.
Here’s a look at 9 upcoming shows, almost all of which are part of Colorado Springs’ citywide celebration organized by the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation.
