The one-off Epitome combines the twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 with a seven-speed manual transmission

Pagani has unveiled the one-off Huayra Epitome, ahead of its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It’s billed as the pinnacle of Pagani street cars and is the first Huayra to be equipped with a manual transmission.

Starting with the latter, the Epitome has a seven-speed manual from Xtrac. Pagani said it features the “latest triple-disc clutch for better torque transmission, with an electronically managed differential and a racing-derived tripod joint system ensuring greater engine responsiveness.”

The transmission is connected to a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 that produces 852 hp (635 kW / 864 PS) and 811 lb-ft (1,100 Nm) of torque. The Mercedes-AMG sourced engine enables the model to hit an electronically limited top speed of 217 mph (350 km/h).

Elsewhere, engineers created a revised suspension geometry that “reduces dive in acceleration, pitch in braking, and roll in corners.” The Epitome has also been equipped with an active suspension system that features a “super soft” mode for extra comfort on rough roads.

While the blue carbon fiber body will undoubtedly draw attention, the Epitome incorporates a number of unique touches. In particular, there’s a new front bumper with an integrated splitter that helps to provide increased downforce. It’s joined by larger intakes, new inner ducts, and exclusive lighting units.

Moving further back, there are ventilated front fenders and a unique rear end with an integrated wing. They’re joined by aerodynamically optimized taillight covers and a six-tip titanium exhaust.

Rounding out the highlights are a carbon-clad interior and forged aluminum monolithic wheels, which have a design inspired by an Imola coupe owned by the client. They’re wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires and are extremely lightweight.

The Huayra Epitome is the result of months of work and everything was made possible by Pagani’s Grandi Complicazioni division, which worked hand-in-hand with the client. The company said the initial conceptualization phase lasted for nine months, and was followed by ten months of design and development.
