Tire safety ahead of holiday travel

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) – When planning that 4th of July getaway, it’s easy to forget about checking your tires before heading out. Here are just a few tips to make sure your tires are safe this summer.

Each year, Discount Tire assists the United States Tire Manufacturing Association (USTMA) in spreading the word on tire safety in the summer, especially before Independence Day. National Tire Safety Week happens annually the week prior to July 4.

Derrick Pruitt, Discount Tire store manager, joined our show this afternoon to answer a few questions about caring for your tires this summer. Some of these questions included:
