Microsoft Rewards gets new Xbox feature to help keep you informed

Earlier this year, Microsoft Rewards on Xbox were simplified in a major overhaul, with Microsoft also promising to be more transparent with the changes it plans to make to the program going forward. Now, it seems Microsoft is making good on that promise by introducing a new feature for Microsoft Rewards on Xbox called Rewards Notes.

When navigating to the Rewards Hub on Xbox, players are reportedly met with a pop-up explaining a new feature called Rewards Notes, which details “the latest on what’s happening” with Microsoft Rewards on Xbox.

“We’re kicking off something new here called Rewards Notes,” the message reads. “It’s a quicker, more direct way for us to share updates, info, and upcoming changes to keep you more connected to Rewards.

“We plan on using this space to give you a heads up on things that affect the way you earn points and collect rewards, so check in now and then. We’ll be here on console first and soon on your Xbox app on mobile and PC as well. Stay tuned”

The message goes on to say that the Rewards team is testing out the ability to claim Rewards points directly from your Rewards notifications to save you from having to open the Rewards hub each time. It also notes that users will want to check their email for the “latest Xbox Rewards Newsletter, where we share the best ways for you to earn points and score rewards.”

Over the past 18 months, Microsoft has made numerous changes to Microsoft Rewards, often without informing its users. This led to a lot of confusion among the Rewards community, which could have easily been avoided if Microsoft had communicated these changes properly, so this is great to see. Hopefully, with Rewards Notes and this new newsletter, users will be kept more informed going forward.
