Alabaster business owner arrested on theft charges
ALABASTER, Ala. (WBRC) – Alabaster Police say a business owner is charged with four counts of first-degree theft.
Nicholas Whitfield, 31, is the owner of Nick’s Auto Repair. He was arrested after an investigation of multiple complaints about his business practices.
“When there are multiple complaints with similar situations, something’s going on. If it’s criminal activity we are going to prosecute,” said Detective Brewer.
Whitfield is being held at the Shelby County Jail without bond.
This is an ongoing investigation and more charges may be pending.
