FanDuel Grant Park 165 winner top 12 odds

Eyes will be on Shane van Gisbergen this Sunday in the Windy City.

The Chevrolet driver from New Zealand surprised last July when he outdueled the NASCAR Cup Series heavyweights and the rest of the field to win the inaugural Chicago street race in overtime.

In doing so, van Gisbergen became the first driver in 60 years to win a race in his first NASCAR Cup Series start.

And with the Kiwi contender having followed that up by winning two (Portland, Sonoma) of the three NASCAR street races this season and ranking fourth in the current Xfinity Series standings, he’s the odds-on favorite to repeat Sunday in Chicago.

At FanDuel as of Friday afternoon, van Gisbergen topped the Grant Park 165 oddsboard at +500. Tyler Reddick was second at +600 with NASCAR Cup Series standings leader Kyle Larson (+750), No. 3-ranked Christopher Bell (+750) and No. 5 Chase Elliott (+1000) the only other drivers with 10-1 or better odds.

It also should be noted that the Chicago road course has been condensed after last year’s event originally was scheduled for 220 miles before being shortened mid-race.

And whether it’s betting on the outright Grant Park 165 champ, driver or group props or even head-to-head driver matchups, it’s to your advantage to do so while getting in on the FanDuel bet $5 get $150 welcome bonus offer.

Then, once you’re an established FanDuel customer, you’ll discover even more year-round perks and promotions are available — no matter the sport or season — including:

  • Profit boosts: Take advantage of enhanced odds and increased payouts on select wagers, including parlays of three or more legs.
  • Dinger Tuesday: Place a pre-game “to hit a home run” bet on any Tuesday MLB game, and garner bonus bets for each homer hit by either team in that game, regardless of whether your wager wins or not.
  • Referral bonus: Recruit a friend to join FanDuel, and you’ll both receive $50 in bonus bets once they sign up with your referral link and create an account.
