Michigan gas price average dips 10 cents as holiday travel period comes to a close

DEARBORN, Mich. (WLUC) – Monday marks the end of the Fourth of July travel period, and some parts of the Upper Peninsula are seeing a lower price at the gas pump as the state average is down 10 cents from a week ago.

According to AAA of Michigan, drivers now pay an average of $3.57 per gallon of regular unleaded gas. The national average still sits slightly lower, at $3.51 per gallon.

Around the Upper Peninsula, the lowest price is in Delta County at $3.39 per gallon, while the highest is in Mackinac County at $3.88 per gallon.
