Giorgio Armani Leaves Milan Fashion Week for New York Building Inauguration

The news that Giorgio Armani this September will fly from Milan to the Big Apple for Fashion Week came as a bolt from the blue for the industry. This September, Armani’s name will not appear on the calendar for the next Fashion Week, because the brand will fly directly to New York to celebrate the inauguration of a new building on Madison Avenue. It will be within the spaces of the new building that the maison’s spring-summer 2025 collection will be presented, an event (scheduled for October 17) quite unusual for a designer who has always made Milan a stronghold.

The decision to leave the Milan Fashion Week calendar is obviously an exception, the maison’s team clarified. «The Giorgio Armani women’s autumn-winter 2025/26 collection will be included, as usual, in the February Milan Fashion Week calendar. With practicality and responsibility, the designer chooses to concentrate in a single event the celebration of an important opening and his return, after eleven years, to New York, presenting here the season’s show originally scheduled on the Milan calendar».
