Fire damages a business in Springfield, Mo.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -An investigation is underway after a business sustained damage in a fire. The call came in around 10:30 Wednesday night at The 6 Eleven Convenience Store in the Old Town Shopping Center north of the Campbell and Sunset intersection.

It took less than ten minutes for firefighters to put out the fire but the business sustained extensive damage while neighboring businesses sustained smoke damage.

The convenience store was closed when the fire started. The fire marshal told KY3 the store had only been open for a few weeks.
