ST. PAUL, Minn. (KTTC) – The Minnesota State Fair is currently hiring for fair-time positions at its Employment Center and plans to host a Job Fair on Wednesday, July 24.
Throughout the summer, the State Fair hires approximately 3,000 employees to work in its various departments during the 12-day Great Minnesota Get-Together.
State Fair job benefits include free fair admission, valuable work experiences, and opportunities to develop friendships and establish connections with people from around the region.
Applicants interested in working at the State Fair are invited to visit the Employment Center between now and the fair (starts August 22).
Positions include ticket sellers, ticket takers, parking and park & ride attendants, rides & games ticket takers, barn attendants, custodians, and more.
Jobs are available to anyone age 16 or older, and most jobs do not require prior experience. Job seekers are encouraged to register online prior to visiting the Employment Center. Registration forms, as well as more information, can be found online.
The Job Fair will be held on Wednesday, July 24, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the North End Event Center on the fairgrounds. The applicant line will begin forming at 3 p.m. outside the event center. Anyone in line by 6:45 p.m. will be allowed to participate.
Applicants will meet with State Fair representatives to discuss their interests, and if availability and experience match an open position, applicants will be interviewed on the spot.
