The world’s best international airline in 2024 has been crowned
Airlines vary enormously – there’s everything from budget-friendly options where you sacrifice leg room and punctuality for a bargain price to some which are so glam they feel like an extension of your holiday.
When it comes to deciphering which are the best, we’ve got some insight from Travel + Leisure’s annual World’s Best Awards. 186,000 readers took part in this year’s survey, and in the airline category readers were asked to assess various operators based on the cabin comfort, in-flight service, customer service and value for money.
And claiming the top spot? It was Singapore Airlines. It flies to more than 70 destinations across the world, and was praised especially for its in-flight service and cleanliness.
In second place, it was La Compagnie and in third it was Emirates. In fact, a fair few of these airlines also appeared in the top 10 spots at the World Airline Awards, so it’s nice to see their reputation backed up by multiple surveys – the more reliable, the better! Here’s the rest of the top ten, according to readers of Travel + Leisure.
