The Best Dressed Stars of the Week Had Fun With Formalwear

We’re now entering the dog days of summer, and between the unrelenting heat and the quiet period before spring 2025 fashion shows begin, we’re in a bit of a holding pattern. But this week, celebrities broke through the humid haze, and reminded us that premieres, sports games, and awards shows are about having fun with fashion.

Heat be damned, it was a big week for leather. In Los Angeles, MaXXXine star Mia Goth wore a skintight Versace number with a built-in bustier detail, while fellow scream queen Maika Monroe hit the premiere of her new film, Longlegs, in an ab-baring black leather bra and skirt set from Courrèges. Meanwhile, across the pond, Emma Corrin also brought leather to premiere dressing, donning a jacket and corset made from leather belts, courtesy of Schiaparelli couture.

Not everybody opted for BDSM-inspired dressing, though. At the ESPY Awards, Serena Williams glimmered in a scaly red Ferragamo dress. Elsewhere, Daisy Edgar-Jones put the wind to work for her (and her chocolate Vivienne Westwood dress) at the European premiere of Twisters.

Beyond the red carpet glamour, the stars still showed us top-tier outfits. Margot Robbie formally debuted her maternity style at Wimbledon, kicking things off with a fresh-off-the-runway Alaïa look, complete with snap details that mimicked polka-dots.

So, are you more partial to something casual like Bella Hadid’s vintage Tom Ford-era Gucci pants, or something bridal-inspired, like Meghan Markle’s Oscar de la Renta?

Below, vote on your favorite celebrity look, and check back on Friday to see who Vogue readers crowned best dressed of the week!
