Russo Bros. In Talks to Return to Avengers – IGN The Fix: Entertainment – IGN
Marvel is getting the gang back together, apparently. The Russo Bros. are in talks to rejoin the MCU for Avengers 5 and 6. The duo had quite the run during the Infinity Saga-era of the MCU, directing four of the company’s biggest films, including the global phenomenon that was Avengers: Endgame. No word yet on if the storylines for Avengers 5 and 6 have changed after former MCU star Jonathan Majors’ assault conviction. And after a solid 30 year run, Jack Black has decided to end Tenacious D. This all happened after a comment Kyle Gass made at a Tenacious D concert in Australia, where JB brought out a birthday cake to celebrate KG’s 64th birthday, and Kyle Gass made a joke onstage about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. Afterwards, Jack Black took to Instagram and wrote this: “I was blindsided by what was said at the show on Sunday. I would never condone hate speech or encourage political violence in any form. After much reflection, I no longer feel it is appropriate to continue the Tenacious D tour, and all future creative plans are on hold. I am grateful to the fans for their support and understanding.”
