Jackson County Chamber of Commerce releases survey results to improve future job skills

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WLOX) – Bridging the gap between education and the workplace is the next goal for the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber released a survey to non-profits and businesses in the area to get their opinion on what needs to be taught in schools to improve future job skills.

The results of this survey will be revealed Thursday morning at the MGCCC Jackson County Campus.

A panel of Jackson County superintendents will be at the meeting to answer any questions the community has on the survey.

“Anytime you can bridge a gap with communication, you are serving your community in a high-quality way,” Jackson County Chamber of Commerce President Paige Roberts says.

Roberts wants to remind people of the importance of this survey since today’s students are tomorrow’s employees.
