3 arrested in police bust at Daytona Beach gambling house

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Three people were arrested on Thursday morning during a bust at a Daytona Beach gambling house, according to the police department.

In a release, police said they executed a search warrant at 833 Mason Ave. around 9:20 a.m. during an investigation into an “illegal gambling operation.”

During the search, police arrested two people inside the building, though their identities haven’t yet been fully determined, investigators explained.

Meanwhile, a third person — identified as Mukesh Parmar — eventually arrived on the scene and was also arrested, the release shows.

Police said the following items were produced during the search:

  • 40 illegal gambling machines

  • $20,000 cash

  • Firearms

  • Other items used in the operation of a gambling house

Each suspect faces a charge of keeping or operating a gambling house, though additional charges are pending, detectives said.
