Underdog Fantasy MLB Daily Pick‘em Plays – July 29
Bobby Witt Jr. Higher than 10.5 Fantasy Points
Bobby Witt Jr. solidified himself as one of the best players in baseball at the young age of 24. His slash line of .341/.387/.585 is remarkable, yet he has 23 steals and plays gold glove defense. On Monday, Witt and the Royals face off against Chris Flexen. The former top prospect has struggled immensely in 2024, posting a 5.26 ERA.
Witt also has success against Flexen throughout his career. He is 5-8 with a home run and an average exit velocity of 99.2 MPH! 10.5 Fantasy Points might seem like a lot, but I really like this matchup for Witt tonight.
Juan Soto Higher Than 0.5 Batter Walks
For me, it’s quite simple. Anytime I’m offered Juan Soto to walk, I take it. Soto leads all of baseball in walks and is on a historic walk pace for his career. Soto is also facing Zach Wheeler tonight, who has faced an awful lot throughout his career. In 60 plate appearances, Soto has worked 12 walks.
Also, with the remainder of the Yankee lineup struggling, we have seen teams eager to put Soto and Judge on base to deal with the “others”.
