Aquatic & Fitness Center Pool To Temporarily Close In Ocean City
OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Aquatic & Fitness Center pool and natatorium at the Ocean City Community Center will close for six to eight weeks as the building embarks on a “much-needed renovation project.”
It will close Aug. 4, and will likely reopen some time in late September, according to the Ocean City Department of Community Services.
“However, as many of you know, there are a variety of factors at play with any construction project, so the exact date of completion will become clearer as the project progresses,” officials said.
The project will include replacement of the main drains, repair and re-plastering of the pool, addition of tiled lane lines, improvements and repairs to the gutter system, and a complete renovation of the pool deck.
All members will have the option to freeze their account for the duration of the project. If any member intends to utilize the gym, group exercise classes, sauna, racquetball court, or any other aspect of the facility during the pool closure, their membership must remain active, according to city officials. No prorated or partial memberships will be offered.
To place a freeze on your account or inquire further about membership implications, contact the front desk or call 609-398-6900.
